The St. Matthew’s Chapel Talk Program is a beloved tradition and capstone experience in the Eighth Grade Year. Students share lessons from their lives and inspire their schoolmates. Their wisdom and vulnerability has the effect of strong community building and creates empathy, normalizing experiences like having a learning difference. The talks are very much a “windows and mirrors” experience for the students--seeing themselves represented or gaining insight into an experience different than their own. Students work closely with Chaplain Amber to write, devise, and deliver a thoughtful talk with confidence.
