Kindergarten at de Young Museum
Draw a line! Paint a shape! What are the primary colors again? Red, yellow and blue! Kindergarteners had a magical day at the de Young museum earlier this week. They took a close look at a Louise Nevelson sculpture, a Frank Stella painting, traditional Navajo tapestries, and followed the crack in the ground that is the auspicious sculpture of Andy Goldsworthy. After studying Wassily Kandinsky's circle paintings at school, they even coined the term "concentric squares" when discussing Frank Stella's work. We are so proud of our Kindergarten Artists. Art is education!
