Guiding Tomorrow's Hearts and Minds

4th Grade to Gold Country

A few weeks ago, our 4th graders took an overnight trip to Gold Country.  Our students adventures included highly interactive and fun living history programs which in turn were designed to support our classroom curriculum. These field trips are an extension of student learning and offer students a real life, hands-on opportunity to apply their knowledge. This wonderful field trip also offered a good opportunity for students to work on team building (as was evidenced by the high ropes course!), as they work in groups, and discover our states history as well as taking part in science related activities. Among those are nature walks to study plants and dissecting owl pellets. So much curiosity was stimulated and active engagement increased!
