Guiding Tomorrow's Hearts and Minds

6th Grade Sailing Trip

Sixth grade students just returned from a three-day trip, exploring the San Francisco Bay on board the 82-foot schooner Seaward, operated by the Call of the Sea organization. As the ship explored the West Delta, San Francisco Bay, and under the Golden Gate, the students learnt about the ecology of the Bay, its maritime history, and its impact on the development of Northern California through hands-on activities. The focus is always on team building and class bonding, with peer leadership included. Students took turns sleeping on board the ship and camping on Angel Island. Ahoy land! Welcome back, sixth graders!
