St. Matthew's Episcopal Day School

Tradition, Innovation, Purpose

Enrolling Now for Fall 2014 - Preschool and Pre-K
The Early Childhood Center is designed to provide young children with a warm school experience that connects them with one another and with nature, featuring state-of-the-art classrooms and outdoor play spaces to inspire their imagination. Morning class schedules for preschool and Pre-Kindergarten offer an experiential, play-based program to nourish inquisitive minds and develop the academic growth of young children.  Classroom gardens and a spacious playground bring learning outdoors, and expansive windows bring our beautiful natural setting into the classroom.  The Early Childhood Center at Charles House was built with the needs of early childhood in mind. Take advantage of enrollment opportunities for this Fall.  Limited space is now available in Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten.  To be eligible for Preschool, children must be three years old by September 1.

The Beam is Raised
Following an exciting few days of signing the steel, St. Matthew’s students, faculty, parents, and parishioners gathered as the beam was raised into its rightful place at the top of St. Matthew’s Hall.  After words of welcome from Head of School Mark McKee, and a blessing by The Rev. Eric Hinds, the beam was raised, the flag dropped and Rocky the Mustang (our School Mascot) guided the contractors as they placed the beam to complete the steel infrastructure of St. Matthew’s Hall.  A great day for all!
St. Matthew's Cuts Ribbon on New Early Childhood Center
As parents, faculty, parishioners and students gathered this morning for the official ribbon cutting of the new early childhood classrooms at Charles House a loud cheer roared from the crowd – Charles House Rocks!  These classrooms are the beautiful new home for Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten.  Students returned to state-of-the-art classrooms and outdoor play areas last week and today's Ribbon Cutting marks the completion of the Charles House project.  Check out these photos in the San Jose Mercury News.

St. Matthew's is currently under construction on the main campus to complete a new Middle School building and gymnasium, scheduled to open in September 2014.  For questions about growing enrollment opportunities, please contact the Admission Office.
