Congratulations to two of St. Matthew's science stars, Trevor Williams, Grade 7, and Saskia Rohde, Grade 8, who competed earlier this month at the 62nd Annual California State Science Fair in Los Angeles. Trevor competed in the Product Science (physical) category with his project: Build vs. Buy a Computer. Saskia competed in the Electronics & Electromagnetics category with her project: Charge on the Go: Kinetic Energy Generator for Cell Phones. Saskia won second place in her category and also received a Raytheon Achievement Award, a special award given by Raytheon Asian Pacific Association (RAPA) - Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems Company, in El Segundo, California.
